Yes, some people are quite sensitive to the effects of Klonopin. After all, it (along with Halcion, prescribed as a sleep aid) is the most potent benzodiazepine available in the U.S. My stepfather dozes off after taking any more than 1/16 mg of Klonopin, lol. But with continued use, tolerance develops to the sedative effects of all benzodiazepines, leaving behind only the therapeutic effects (in most cases -- some people still experience memory impairment). Plus, the stimulant/tranquilizer combination which is so great for many social phobics prevents this side effect.
