I agree too.

Did you change the dosage of Nardil? The last information I could remember was 105mg. Right? Did you increase it since you started Amisulpride? Didnt you take it at a lower dose, before you started Amisulpride? Ok, I admit I am too lazy to look it up ;)

I increase it from 90mg to 105mg about 4 days ago.

> In general, I doubt a dopaminergic agent works for OCD. Arent they contraindicated for OCD in general?

Not that I know off- I mean OCD per se, does not exist IMO, that is, I believe it doesn't have the same underriding aetiology in all people. For some dopaminergic agents could work...

But you said you have a somewhat atypical OCD, whatever this means. BTW could you describe your OCD a little better? Any rituals?

I have this thought that something is going to destroy my happiness...then this other thought in my head tries to come in and say "yes" to the thought...sort of like tries to override what i truly want...the ritual is where i say "no" over the "yes"...I also have a fixation on infinity which is painful...it is clear OCD, however- it in the family relatives too!

> If you look at pubmed, many abstracts state ocd and ad(h)d are inverse neurochemic situations. Amisulpride activates for example the forebrain (it increases attention and concentration for me), while in calssic OCD it is already overstimlated (hyerglutamiergic state of the forebrain in OCD). And most serotonergic agents seem to correct this state of overactivity. BTW, did you try any other SSRI besides Zoloft (Sertraline)??

Luvox- but only 2 days.

Didnt you take this one?

Zoloft was of little benifit for me after 2 wasted years on 200mg...didn't help depression much, if at all.

My personal opinion about Sertraline is that is not the best drug to treat OCD. What about Luvox, Celexa, Lexapro? I know, you once tried Anafranil which resulted in what you described as serotonin synndrome. Too short period between switching nardil and anafranil?

Correct.

I dont know. I dont want to influence you since you seem to do great with Nardil. Im just curious

Nardil is a lifesaver in so many ways. I can't drop it. Ive added 2.5mg Zyprexa which almost abolishes the infinity fixation. And that was only after 3 weeks, so 8 weeks of Zyprexa will probably do soo much.

Any other ideas? how about Neurontin? Thanks so much dude,
Ace.
Nardil 105mg
Zyprexa 2.5mg.
