I have been on depakote for about 6 weeks and have already gained 15 pounds. My problem is that I'm not sure if it's from the depakote or the Paxil that I've been on for a while. I've heard that you gain the most weight on Paxil, so maybe I was slowly putting it on and now I'm blaming it on the depakote. The doc is slowly weaning me off the Paxil to see if that makes a difference. Any way you look at it, the weight gain is very depressing and makes me feel like I'm back at square one. Anyone have any advice??
