I have found reality out in the real world friends. If anyone can tolerate the side-effects of Nardil such as I had for 12 years to escape the pain of Atypical Depression/Social Anxiety Disorder, then you must be a friend because we have much in common. I have a hate problem at this time directed squarely towards the squirly folks with a company named Pfizer. Maybe many think their hearts are in the right place and they just made an honest mistake with their new Placebo Nardil, B.S. First of all, what ever became of our anti-trust laws that should have forbid this merger with Park Davis in the first place, guess you don't have to worry much about cheaper generics if you own all the companies that could manufacture any and as if the phamaceutical companies don't already weild a powerful sword? I've been thinking had this merger not been allowed to happen in the first place we would still be happy, enjoying life in-place of looking for an alternative to Pfizers newest drug, Placebo Nardil and yes it gets the nod from the FDA as a damn good placebo at that! I'm still waiting for that McDonalds-Wendys-Burger King merger and lets not leave out retail either, that won't work Wal-Mart already has a monopoly. Auto's, sure, a G.M-Ford-DaimlerChrysler company. Monopolies are not what built this great country, but competition and free-enterpise did (see the movie Tucker). Where would we be at this time if Teddy Roosevelt did not have the courage to break up the Robber Barrons (J.P Morgan, Rockerfeller and Andrew Carnagie)when combined had more wealth and power than our own government. Are we headed back towards those days? It's beginning to look that way. I have other questions, how is Canada able to sell the same medication they just purchased from one of our pharmaceutical companies and sell it for 1/3 the price we Americans pay and still make a profit? Wait, I got it, their citizens pay a lot of taxes, sorry, they pay no more than the average "working" American. Recently our Commander-in-Chief stated that it is dangerous to buy meds. from that terrible Saddam loving country north of the boarder because these meds. are unsafe, yes, that is correct, the same meds. we purchase in this country from Pfizer. I had to get all that off my chest after talking to Pfizer many times and receiving different answers to my questions. At first I though if we complaign loudly enough they might change Nardil back to its old working form. Reallity began to kick me in the butt though. Nardil will be discontinued before they EVER spend the money to change it back to its origional form and I'm not talking about the Gluten coating, but the same exact chemical composition. If I were a money hungry pharmaceutical company, this is how I would think anyway and besides they can sell their Viagra at $10 a pop to people like Bob Dole, that have the resources to purchase it so they can have a little fun with the Mrs or mistriss, take your pick. Hell, I just want to be happy and survive in this world. It's ironic that a major side-effect of the old Nardil was sexual dysfuntion which all of us were willing to deal with over depression, regardless of how it affected our marriages and lives.
I have one more thing before I go look at my photo album and try to remember what it felt like to be HAPPY, has anyone had luck with Marplan? I've done some reading and found Marplan + Neurontin may have the same effect as Nardil and possibly not as many side-effects. I wish everyone reading this the very best and don't forget the rest of us if you find any answers.
