I was in a bad way when I went to see a psychologist but im not sure if that truly reflects my current state. I dont even know what my 'state' is. Either way I feel she may have given me these pills too quickly.

I have done internet searches and I cannot really get any straight answers, only lists of side effects etc. I feel confused, not only about the drug itself but as to how unwell i have to be to merit its use.

Hello,

I have taken the medication you are prescribed by your doctor. Celexa has been on the market for about 3 or 4 years in the USA. Many thousands of people have taken it worldwide.

It is supposed to help depressive symptoms. These medications take time to work, so you may experience some side-effects or not, before they start to help you.

Stay in touch with your doctor.

Call her if you have any side-effects that you cannot handle or you. You may have no side effects at all, which is a real good sign.

Rememeber most of the people here are laypersons (patients) like you, not medical doctors, myself included, so make sure to rely on your doctors advice.

If you are still in a "bad way" that could mean lots of things, and a diagnosis by your physician is in order.
