A test: How to know when yr Dex dose is too low?

Posted by Zenclearer on August 24, 2003, at 22:00:40

I don't have an answer. But I've heard that a too-low dose is worse than no med at all.

I've tried to keep my dose low, to avoid tolerance. But I wonder if this is a futile effort, and I might as well titrate upward to see fuller coverage.

However, I have noticed a J-curve effect: the more you take past a modest amount, the greater proportion of increments you need as you go upward. Perhaps this is due to increased metabolism effects. I don't know. But I do know it's true with me.

So, the test: How do you know when your dex dose is too low? Does an increase help a lot, or is it negligible?

Other comments on dex dosing?
