I did wonderfully on Mirapex for a while. It greatly increased my drive, motivation, libido and confidence while also greatly decreasing my depressive symptoms. This was at the maximum recommended FDA dose of 1.5mg three times daily.
Unfortunately, after a while, I started having sleep attacks, which are described as a possible side effect in the Mirapex prescribing info. It was as if I were narcoleptic or something -- I would just feel so sleepy all of the sudden and barely be able to keep my eyes open. Lowering the dose didn't help.
Now that I'm taking a stimulant (dextroamphetamine) I may give it another shot. It really is a great med.
