Edgefield,

You're on same WB dose as moi. Kewl. I think both the WB SR and the WB regular make me 'spacey' to an extent. For me it was more of a toxicity effect that built up when I was taking just the WB SR at dosages up to 450 mg/day (split of course cuz of the hype about seizure risk...it is there but is overhyped to an extent). It wasn't so much a spacey feeling instead I became physically ill quite often without warning (I think it was the meds building up in my system) and I'd have about three to seven days of gastrointestinal woes and very little I could do about it other than ride it out. I have every tummy remedy known to mankind from the pharms. to the herbals. I found the combination of the regular WB and the SR version to keep the 'toxicity levels' in me from happening quite so frequently.

The regular WB seemed to kick in with a punch that floored me. I had to cut my caffeine back to barely a half mug of coffee in the a.m. I never drank pop or tea with caffeine but I'll be damned if I give up my last vice!! The SR version seems to not kick in with such a punch so the combination of the two are a much better fit than any other med I've tried over the past decade.

As for the Buspar I haven't noticed any side effects from it other than slight grogginess when I increased from 40 mg to 60 mg/day(which I did by 5 mg slowly building up from the 40 to the 60 over many weeks). No joint pain. To have it on just the left side is quite odd but with all our wiring and how different we all are ya just never know. Sorry that Buspar isn't the one to help with the WB. Have you discussed augmenting the WB with another med with your pdoc?

You are quite fortunate that the WB doesn't bother your sleep. Consider yourself lucky there!!

Thank you for the kind words regarding my rough day. It has drained every last drop out of me and I'm utilizing the only coping mech. I have available out here---booze and lots of it! Nah, just a bottle of vino a night (which is more than I've been able to handle in more than three or four years). So I'm not 'naturally' feeling better but drinking away the hell today has been.

I wish you well and hope that you find a good combo to go along with your WB mix.
