I personally don't have any idea if there's any kind of poop out potential with Lamictal but I do know for a fact that it is a calcium channel blocker. With regard to pre-synaptic neuronal functioning, calcium is required for most neurotransmitter release. So, you could imagine how this would be good for "quieting" neurons in the case of seizures or functioning as a mood stabilizer for bipolar treatment. As far as I know, Lamictal very often used for seizures and bipolar disorder
