I am on Effexor 300 mg and Zyprexa 5mg. These two work excellent together. There are good studies backing this up. Ask your doc about it. The Zyprexa will definitely take care of your insomnia. It should be taken 3 hours before your normal bedtime. I have had great success with this combination. The Zyprexa can seem to sedating at first but give it a chance. If after several months and it still seems to sedating then you could maybe drop down to 2.5 mg. I would highly recommend giving it a try. FYI Zyprexa is a mood stabilizer. Good Luck!
