does anyone know if deer meat contains appreciable amounts (they are ruminants, and do get a lot of forage, but not grass)? (see, here`s AA, the anorexic hick punk-rocker bio major, who eats deer meat). also, would it be reasonable to suspect that, as many of the luminal bacteria of ruminants are the same as, or closely allied to, the human luminal bacteria, that a high intake of alpha-linoleic acids may lead to a larger amount of circulating CLA? my bio prof was ranting about the multitudinous benefits of CLA supplementation when i asked him, said it was the only supplement he would take, etc. and also indicated that sunflower seeds did contain appreciable amounts.
