I'm a 34 yr old male. On prozac for 1 month now and actually have started to feel a little better. The anxiety and agitation that I first experienced have started to lift with the depression. Not a miracle, but definitely a step in the right direction.
To the point where I actually met someone, a sexually liberated young woman whom I find very attractive. But nothing good ever happens to me without something bad - so of course I'm experiencing sexual side effects. Namely:
Anorgasmia - very frustrating
Less full erections - somewhat embarassing
One bout of impotence - very embarassing and very frustrating but luckily didn' t last.
Generally deadened libido.OK, so sex and prozac don't mix for me and I stopped taking prozac yesterday. So here are the questions:
How long before the sexual side effects wear off - when can I come again? It's becoming seriously uncomfortable.
What can I take instead of prozac?
Already tried wellbutrin - but found it to be way too stimulating for my system. I was thinking of moving to Celexa - but wonder if it's likely that I'll experience the same side efffects with another ssri?
Anyone with this problem had any luck switching to Serzone?
