As another uk resident I can understand your feelings about our shrinks!
I am not sure why you want ssris as opposed to tcas or even maois which have both been proven safe and effective over the long haul, not something that can be said of prozac and friends, however remeron is Zispin over here, I tried it and it did nothing for me, but then bar a couple most have not.
I found it very tolerable more so than zoloft/sertraline/lustral or paxil/paroxetine/seroxat but that is just me!
I beleive strattera is atomoxetine a new ahdd medication, not one I would recommend just yet as it is very new and stimulating, but maybe you need that?
Cymbalta is duloxetine, not yet available but similar in action to Zispin.
I use celexa/citalopram/cipramil which is very related to lexapro/escitalopram but from what I have seen on here considerably milder!I agree with the previous posters, give us a little more info about how you are suffering and I promise you the suggestions will abound.
