sensitivity to medication

Posted by zarathustra on May 30, 2003, at 9:41:24

Please excuse my previous post as it came out missing letters and such. When I pasted from 'word' I didnt verify it.

A thought crossed my mind today and I would like input of those in the know.

I am sensitive, both emotionally and physically. I could to never use a hot tub as it seems to scald me, cold water sends chills up my spine. My sense of smell is very keen. A few beers intoxicates me and a very very small puff of marijuana sends me into hysterical fits of laughter and creativity. My sense of touch is very receptive, an orgasm looks somewhat similar to to seizure: -)

My point is this. I have tried many different antideppressants usually at high doses when they did not respond. I have started parnate again. I will be on 30mgs, but for one week I am on 10mgs. I feel fabulous on 10mgs(I think) but the reccomended dosage is 30. In the past when I been on 30mgs I suffered from hypotension resulting in fainting and also not much of an antidepressant effect.

Is it possible I am "sensitive" to drugs the same way I am sensitive to everything else in my life?

Andrew.
