New to Lexapro--Help!

I just went to the doctor this morning and have found myself coming home with 3 sample packs of Lexapro. I have never been on any kind of medication of this type. I am terrified about the potential weight gain. I am of average weight now. When I was younger, my mom gained a lot of weight on meds like xanax and prozac and I'm truly terrified to the point that I don't want to take it. Any advice??
