The dopamine effect is dose dependant.
It is impossible for a drug to just
suddenly start inhibiting the reputake
at a certain doseage.

The thing is that these effects at low
doses are generally weak, and unnoticable.

In many cases it is difficult to distinguish
the behavioral effects of dopamine and
norepinephrine. Dopamine works partially
by stimulating the norepinephrine system.

So, the reputake is always 'there', but you
are right in that the effect may only be
noticable at higher dosages.
