There was a study done in Britain years back, (I may be wrong re country) but it showed that the lower on the totem pole at work the higher the stress. If I recall correctly the reasoning was because the individuals had less oppurtunity to control their enviorment. The plus side to some of these jobs would be that they involve physical activity.

And if stressed long enough, signs of clinical depression will become evident thus brain chemistry begins to get warped.

Just my opinion.
