Hi Roland.I decided to stop taking Provigil today because of how quickly and severely my depression has worsened since raising the dosage to 200mg a few days ago. This is the second time Provigil has treated me this way. I was also taking Lamictal both times. Perhaps these two drugs' opposing effects on glutamate are somehow responsible. Oddly, I received a noticeable mood-lift that lasted a few hours after taking the very first dose. The first time I tried Provigil, I felt much worse for 10 days after discontinuing it. I'm praying that the same thing doesn't happen this time.
BTW, Remeron also makes me feel much worse. Hmmm.
