ECT should be used as a last resort,when all meds have failed.They say that after ECT some meds that did'nt work before will start to work. Its been 3 years since my last ECT session and I take 4 meds and Im doing pretty good. But yes I think there is a sigmastism around ECT.Nobody except My imediate family knows I had it.
