Parnate - why weight gain?

I am about to begin Parnate after a 2-week washout of Lexapro. I have heard from several people on another thread that Parnate can cause weight loss (weight gain for some, but for the majority of people weight loss seems the norm).

Can anyone who has lost weight on Parnate explain why this loss happens? Is it that you have less desire for food and eat less or is it something more mysterious like increased metabolism that is unrelated to the amount of food consumed?
