For me, zoloft was the main culprit, but only after I'd been on it a while. After that, it seemed every ssri had the same effect. Even effexor felt like I'd filled my brain with cotton batten - everything was so muffled and far away.

For me, it seems that any ssri in the mix is now going to cause derealization. But that could be because of all the years I was on zoloft. Maybe you could try wellbutrin or ritalin with your ssri. Provigil doesn't act directly on dopamine, but I've found it helps to pierce through the veil very effectively. Plus, it augments all the ssri's except celexa - something to do with liver enzymes.

Good luck with your pdoc. Mine is pretty skeptical, so I've learned to work around him. But maybe yours is more open.
