Having problems augmenting lithium

Posted by linkadge on April 11, 2003, at 12:43:33

I am taking lithium alone (900 mg) and feel very detached and alone. When I talk to people I feel like I am under water. THeir lips move but I just cant understand their meaning.

The doc suggestted adding an AD which I am hopeful about. After adding celexa though I have all of these completely strage sensations. First I weight infinitely many pounds, then by head buzzes, I also feel like someone is shaking me.

I find this all confusing as my mood throughout all of this seems perfectly normal. It feels like the AD is trying to break me out of a shell, and the lithium is pulling me back in.

Do some AD's combine better with lithium than others??

Is anyone sucessfuly combing lithium and and AD, if so which one ???
