I've very afraid of meds and how they'll make me feel. I have young children at home, and obviously need to feel "with it" to look after them well and safely. Paradoxically, they are the ones who motivate me to get out of bed and do something every day, and they are the joy of my life.

Med do hold to possibility of feeling normal and also if you do not like them, you can stop them.
I think that Fish oil, exercise, ect are great seconday treatments but are not effective as primary treatments for serious, long term depressions.

How do your kids feel about mom being depressed ?
