Hi again,

Well, Lamotrigine is an activating anticonvulsant which can cause insomnia. Lamotrigine suppresses the release of the excilatory amino acid glutamate and acts indirectly on the NMDA receptors. What does that mean? Lamotrigine is a powerful antidepressant and taken at night it can be activating and cause insomnia. That's all.

Max.
