OK..let's sort this out. First of all, if the Nardil is working for other probs, keep it.
Ist sounds as if you will definately have to augment, or as you say, compliment it.

The two meds I mention are used mostly to augment anti-OCD's, such as Prozac, Zoloft etc. BTW, I had no success with these drugs. Sometimes the above two meds are used on their own for OCD. You must be aware that these are anti-psychotic meds - they are used a lot for people with psychotic illness. BUT, these two are from the newer generation and are now used a lot for panic d/o, ocd etc. Be aware, after long times at high doses they can cause a s/effect called Tardive Dyskinesia. This is a neurological prob which causes uncontrollable tongue thrusting, jerks etc. But don't be scared - keep the dose low. I heard of one lady on an older generation anti-psychotic (Thorazine) for Panic for 10 years low dose -- She had NO probs whatsoever and Thorazine is MUCH worse for that s/effect.

I have read many journal articles where Zyprexa and Risperidone has wiped out OCD 100% so keep faith.

No, might in future, but just raised my dose. Higher doses work better for me I think.

Initially I tried Nardil at 75-90mg and had only modest results. A year later I tried it at 45mg for a sustain period and it worked wonders.

Don't stop Nardil then!!!!

Atypical antipsychoics are the two I mention above. Bapapentin is a mood stabilizer and desipramine is a Trycyclic anti-depressent.
Gabapentin is relaxing and has been used successfully in augmentation for OCD. I am not aware of desipramine for OCD augmenter but it's worth a try.

I would do the below. Of course this is just my opinion I've gleaned from much research. Show your doctor obviously.

1. Nardil + Zyprexa (low dose)

if doesn't work...
2. Nardil + Risperidone (low dose)

if doesn't work...
3. Nardil + Gapapentin

4. Try Parnate

5. Parnate + Zyprexa (low dose)

if doesn't work...
6. Parnate + Risperidone (low dose)

if doesn't work...
7. Parnate + Gabapentin.

Of course, give each trial sufficient time. Don't worry, even after this there is plenty more to try. BTW, I have heard some people have BRILLIANT results on Parnate for OCD. (Parnate is the other MAOI, of course) Just cause Nardil doesn't kill OCD, doesn't mean Parnate won't.
