>I'm assuming your son is seeing a psychiatrist not a PCP? Tiagabine is being used lately to treat anxiety and to treat bipolar disorder (off label use). I would ask his doctor directly if they think he has bipolar disorder or not. Tiagabine isn't a "first-line" medication for bipolar (if that's the case) and it may not work very well. The stimulants *may* also worsen his problems if he has bipolar. I would confront his doctor about the true diagnosis. I have bipolar and ADHD and tried Tiagabine and found it to be of little help for ADHD.
