I've never taken Effexor, but have experienced what I think are similar type sensations when
quitting zoloft. I learned that this had to do with not tapering the amount slowly enough-- if that makes sense to you.
Perhaps instead of reducing by half you might consider reducing by 1/4 and then later 1/2 etc. Just a thought.
