Hi Racer

For the sleeplessness, have you tried acupuncture? I am also in post EFX withdrawal (4 mos. since last dose) after 3 months of tapering from 75 mg. I had my first session yesterday and have gotten the best, deepest, most restful sleep of my life last night. I found a practitioner who has some experience with SSRI withdrawal. What a godsend!

I wish I could be more positive about the withdrawal process. I didn't tolerate Effexor well and the withdrawal--for me--has been debilitating. However, my mother tried it for menopausal symtoms, and while it didn't really help her, she had no problems getting off it.

Oh yeah, man do I commiserate with you on the bizarre sensitivties. Up until last month I had no problems with vitamin supplements, then suddenly small doses of ANYTHING-- vitamin C, B vitamins, even calcium for pete's sake--make me totally whack out. The acupuncturist sent me home with a bunch of herbal mixes, but I'm a little afraid to try them just yet.

The worst of the withdrawal, however, seems to be abating. I'm still a bit over-emotional, and am dealing with some pernicious, suspiciously fibromyalgia-like pain. I've never had that one before, and am hoping that its not permanent. I hope this helps you, I know how uncomfortable this can be.
