I was on Paxil for 5 yrs without weight gain, my sister has been on it almost 10 without weight gain. Paxil and Remeron have been the only two anti-d's to not cause me weight problems. Effexor was the worst!!! Not everyone gains weight so at least try it, I found it to be a good anti-d but had to stop taking it because of some troublesome side affects. Some people also go through severe withdrawal upon stopping Paxil, I didn't thankfully, so that should be taken into consideration as well.
