I had similar problems with Remeron. It was to the point that I *would* wake up and put a cofee mug in the microwave and forget it and then wander around for ten minutes or more trying to find my coffee cup! You might try taking an "activating" AD with the Remeron at bedtime like Wellbutrin SR. Maybe about the time you are ready to get up the WB would be enough of a kick to get you out of the bed.
