Generic Adderall Findings

Posted by rgreene on July 30, 2002, at 1:49:50

I refilled my Adderall last week and was asked if I wanted the generic. I didn't know a generic form existed, but responded "sure", thinking why not save some money. I'll get the same thing for less...
For those of you that are interested (or those who would like to post their own experiences) I do not feel like the generic is the same as the brand name. On the negative side, the generic does not give me the same mood elevating effect (the dose is identical). On the positive side, the "crash" is significantly less - almost nonexistent (I was crashing pretty bad on Adderall)!
From the little I know about pharmacology, the generic might have a more gradual onset and longer half-life. I have no idea, but seems like this might account for the differences I've noticed ~
