Adderall XR works for about 6-7 hours in my case.
When I first started taking it, I was careful to take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach because I think it works better, but I've gotten lazy.
I'm not taking it until around 11 am, and that's after I've eaten breakfast. It's not as effective that way.
I've also read that drinking excessive caffeine can mitigate its effectiveness, so I would recommend reducing caffeine intake to one cup, if any. That's tough for me, but it does seem to help.
