> Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I am currently taking 25 mgs. of Zoloft a day. So far I haven't had to drop it down to every other day. I have found that anything over 25 mgs. a day makes me feel horrible (achy all over, bad headaches, nausea), I have a close friend who experiences the same thing. I think at a 25 mg. dose it might not be enough for depression but you could give it a try. I take it for anxiety. I also take Lamictal (mood stabilizer), Remeron (to keep the depression away) and Risperdal (also for anxiety). I think Zoloft is very calming, whereas Celexa is very activating. I have found that Zoloft allows me to let things roll off my shoulders easier and I don't get as agitated.
Thank you for the response. Yes-it's not just me!! I cannot handle the celexa and I don't think giving it more time will help. Since I started zoloft again I have been calmer and stopped the all day crying sessions. However, I have only started at about 6mg. zoloft because my body is still all wacked out from just stopping the celexa and then all the 'natural' products I tried before that. I seem to be ultra-sensitive right now. When I increase the dose I will certainly keep it at or under 25mg. 25 is the 'magic number' I've been thinking about I might have some success with this med.
I still feel some depression right now but things have definately became more manageable since changing back to zoloft. The anxiety has greatly diminished, thankfully. I am very nauseaus though-even at super low doses as I am now. I have a headache and am achey. I didn't know if it was the meds or if I have the flu! I figure my body needs to adjust again and the celexa is probable still working it's way out of my system. Tonight will be 5 nights since I last took any celexa.
I am curious about the remeron. Does is make you sleepy? There seems to be alot of good posts about this med, but I see sleepiness mentioned a lot.
