Hi Angel Girl--

One site that I keep on my Links list (toolbar button on IE browser) is

http://www.yourDictionary.com

It's a database of dictionaries and thesauri, so it will find most words and abbreviations/acronyms. (It had both the terms you asked about.) It's "one-stop shopping", it loads quickly, and it's home page opens with the cursor already in the search box.

But, like other dictionaries, it doesn't search phrases. For that, I'd probably use the Google search box I've loaded onto my browser's address bar, just because it's fast and loads its search results in a new window. Many med terms will be defined on the first results page without having to go to the listed links.

Hope this helps---medlib
