How to treat headaches from Effexor ? -help !

I am taking 225 mg of Effexor XR in the morning and have mostly a constant headache during the day. Experiencing sometimes stitches in the head. How could I try to manage this problem ? I took the TCA trimipramine up to 50 mg at night without any big success ! Trazodone at night up to 100 mg makes no difference but sedation in the morning.
