Hello Jello,

So true, Effexor and alcohol don't mix at all. In fact most ADs say "do not drink alcohol" on the package, and I eventually accepted that as good advice. I got similar effects trying to drink on Effexor and a whole list of other antidepressants. Felt drunk after one, sick after two.

Not only do the ADs mess up the alcohol, but the alcohol makes it harder for the medications to work. Alcohol is a depressant, you know.
