Every atypical anti-psychotic I took made me markedly more depressed, particularly when I combined them with antidepressants. I personally do not understand the trend for using atypical antipsychotics in major depression. Factor in the ever present risk of EPS or even TD and its not worth it in my opinion.

ECT is the old way of treating psychotic depression and I believe it still has very strong merits for treating psychotic mood disorders to this very day.
