I'm pleased that I've been able to explain some things to you, and in such a way that they are understandable.
As to how I came to know about this stuff, I just have a very high academic aptitude.
There is a saying, "Question: Why do mountain climbers climb mountains? Answer: Because they are there." That's pretty much how it is with me and subjects that interest me. I just "dive in" and master the subject matter.
I can't play a musical instrument, I'm not a sports fan, but I can learn anything I want to learn.
Also, I've been researching this psyc med stuff for over 10 years, and you can learn a lot in that amount of time, even with a full time job and not looking at it or reading anything for months. Then a few months later, I'd pick up a few articles or a book...and so on.
