Hi ELA--

Your pdoc may be willing to write you a scrip for some Ambien, in spite of your recent experience. Ambien is a short-acting hypnotic (sleeping pill) which has low-to-no OD potential. I take 15 mg. every night because my hi dose Effexor makes sleep impossible. It lasts only 4 hrs., so is not appropriate if you have difficulty staying asleep. I like it because there's no morning hangover effect.

I'm not sure what you took, or how much was absorbed, but it may be possible that you're having rebound activation/anxiety from the OD. If so, it should dissipate shortly. Hang in.

Good luck and well wishes---medlib
