Calamine, CBZ, or Benadryl? » tina

Perhaps you can find yourself some generic calamine lotion at the local drugstore.

Other ideas include: diphenhydramine (Benadryl) treatment {some people claim that Benadryl has an antidepressant effect too}. Or, more difficult to procure but perhaps more effective overall: prescription fexofenadine (Allegra TM).

Another thought is to switch to carbamazepine XR if possible. Its record in affective disorders is largely unblemished, and some people claim it has mood "elevating" properties.

Perhaps you can take more showers and use some family mild soap and try to cover every part of your body thoroughly in the shower.

I'm very hopeful that you will solve this problem in Godspeed,
