> JimmyHi ... watch out for the dreaded "Effexor Discontinuation Syndrome" (it includes all manner of weird sensations, labile mood, malaise, etc.). I think it hasn't hit you yet (or you've been spared!) as you came off the Effexor pretty fast. Watch out for the sedation and dry mouth that characterise Amitriptyline too. Good Luck (and reach for the Clonazepam/Klonopin/Rivotril if the going gets tough over the next few days). Last, keep your prescribing doctor's telephone number handy - you may need her/him.
