I'm only on two prescribed drugs, Wellbutrin 300mg's and Inderal 20mg's. The inderal I take every other day before bedtime, otherwise my sinuses interfere too much with my sleep. The purpose of the Inderal is slightly to help with occasional insomnia and night terrors, but more to help with one of my daytime nonprescribed meds, namely ephedrine 25mg 2x a day. The inderal helps prevent some of the usual tolerance to ephedrine's positive effects. I also take caffeine 100mg's 2x a day and a legal ghb like substance several times throughout the day for anxiety and tension. I also take a few other miscellaneous supplements, such as B-vitamins and an herbal AchE inhibitor, but that's pretty much it. The only other thing i'd like to add to the combo would be some modafinil/provigil in the mornings. I am terrible in the morning's, takes me a long time to get going. Only other thing I've thought of for this is cylert, the conventional ADD meds have too much of a tolerance for their wakefulness effects to be of much use to me.
By the way, I find Wellbutrin to increase sexual drive significantly (which is certainly a good thing for me). It has also allowed me to gain control over my appetite completely, as I believe I mentioned in that last post. For the 1st time in 2-3 yrs (incidentally that was fairly concurrent with the time my depression started), my mind has power over my stomach. I think you'll like it if weight gain and fatigue and sexual problems are your main sides from effexor.
