Dear K,

Yes, I went through similar thing, about a year ago. It was my decision to go off of it, as all the opinions I had been getting supported the action, as SSRI (like) can agrivate bipolar 2 and I didn't feel it was doing anything to help the depression. It had helped at the beginning, about nine months previously.

Every time I dropped the dose, I was agitated and like you describe. It passed after several days. I had a choice of slowly tapering or just stopping. I went with slowly tapering. I am not sure, now if just stopping might have been easier in the mood dept (ie, just one episode, rather than multiple) But, I trust my doctor and went with his recommendation. Also, after the first experience, I realized the connection, as did my partner.

Living with some one ill like us is a challenge. My sincerest recognition to you both. Hang in there.
