My experience and limited knowledge tells me that Prozac would probably have one of the most benign withdrawls of any SSRI type drug. It's half life is much longer than the others. You really shouldn't have a significant withdrawal problem. Zoloft, Paxil, Effexor, and Luvox would almost certainly be significantly worse to get off of. In fact, Effexor is particularly egregious in this regard. So much so, that my pdoc recently said they are starting to ramp people up on Prozac while they are tapering down Effexor, and then when a successful transition is made, it is much easier to get off of the Prozac.
