Probably because that's where "most" people responded in their testing.
10mg gives me 5-6 hours sleep, which is good, but not quite enough. My pdoc has me take 1-2mg Klonopin on top of it, which gives me 7-8 hours most nights. So one strategy might be "augment" it.
