> I went to the site regrding subsyndromal epiepsy. I took the quiz and scored pretty high in some areas. I am definetly going to tell my doctor about this. Can medications help with this disorder if in fact I have it? Are there any success stories? What kind of medications do they put you on and what are the side effects? I'm actually a little scared because I don't know that much about epilepsy, so I don't know if it's curable. If you have any advise, please let me know. Thanx

Petey,

Don't let your self get too worried about it. It is just a possibility not a certainty. Also, many psych meds (mainly antidepressants) can trigger seizure and seizure-like episodes in people that *do not* have epilepsy. Chances are, the Zoloft is probably just not the best AD for you to take. Just take it one step at a time. Go to your next appointment and explain the distress these symptoms are causing and just demand that your doctor pay attention and do something about it. Probably, your doctor will switch meds and the musical illusions will stop, or they might do an EEG, which could turn up something if it is there.
