Janelle, You might want to try Geodon (that's risperdal, right?) first, because Zyprexa causes monster weight gain more often than not. Less often in men, but pretty reliably in women. Although, theoretically, the weight gain can be offset by 300mg Axid, an OTC antacid, twice daily, even pretreating for 5-7 days. That said, Zyprexa is a *lovely* med. . but you don't wanna end up like me, it was *supremely* effective, but 50 lbs later, I had to give it up.
