In this thread, the poster "A Tetherball From Bouganville" is talking about selling her Rx meds at school.
Now, maybe I'm getting old and crotchety. I graduated from high school in '83, and sure, plenty of drugs went around, but I don't think kids even got Rx meds back then (high school kids, I mean.)
