At one point I was taking Neurontin 800mgx4. You didn't mention how long you have been on this cocktail. I would guess that the improvement in your depression is the Lamictal. Neurontin has been shown to elevate mood also but not as significantly as Lamictal. Both these drugs seem to have a fairly benign side effect profile with the exception of the serious rash that can occur with Lamictal. If you have not been informed of this ask your doc about it. If you should develop a rash it is easily remedied & as long as it is corrected should not prove a problem. I have been taking Klonopin prn for about 18mos. I have noticed if I take over 2mg in a 24 hr period I seem to have a "hangover" with headache & increased depression. Also I can feel a bit euphoric about an hour after dosing. At the height of my meds I was taking 3200mg. Neurontin, 100mg. Topamax, 300mg. Effexor xr & Klonopin prn. I have been med-free except for Klonopin for 10 days now & am feeling pretty good. Hopefully you & I will be able to find the correct regimine for continued improvement. Be patient. Take care

> On 24oo mg a day now and I really dont seem to feel much it acually has a slight antidepressant effect for me I believe - I am taking it for bipolar 2 along with lamictal 400 mg a day which I continue to rais and klonopin at about 3 mg a day - klonopin always made me depressed before but with the lamictal it seems to be the most effective drug of the three - it acually seems to have a strong antidepressant affect almost sending me into a hypomanic phnse - but then if I am on it too long it depresses me so I am kind of cycling it- anyone have any advice on what to do next to make progress? I have had a 35% improvement in symptoms on this combo after 6 years with no improvement whatsover -I am also 25 years old - male and disabled due to my condition - I was the one who discovered that I suffered from bipolar two from the internet - it was the last thing I thought I had and now I know why the twenty other drugs I tried only made things worse
