Like Willow, I had many years of depression. In teenagers, it is most distressing because of the hormonal issues I would think. But please, don't give up. There are tons of good medications out there for depression or bi-polar. They will work well if you give them a chance. The problem is that it takes time for them to work so there will be some further suffering. Having a good support system will help. Perhaps there is a group support program in place where you live. Other teenagers? That I think could help your son to see other kids with the same issues. Please hang in there buddy, we're all rooting for ya.
